How To Measure Your Landscape To Install Beuta Landscape Edging

How To Measure Your Landscape to install Beuta No Dig Landscape Edging

We know that with starting any new project, the inspiration and motivation can fade once we have to start getting practical.

Since we know firsthand that even simple projects like installing beautiful landscape edging can still require some focused effort, we want to make even that process as concise and simple for you as possible!

At Beuta, we made landscaping easy, requiring no digging or heavy lifting so that you can get the job done, despite some physical limitations, limited time for yard work, and cheaper alternatives to paying a professional!

We know how quickly things can get expensive, and be time-consuming when giving our yards extra attention.

That’s why we created these faux edging blocks for your convenience.

And we want to share with you the easy process to make it happen, by first getting some measurements!

So, you can use this for your main reference, or jot down these steps!

Step 1: Measure your landscaping.

For this, you’re going to want to get your measuring tape ready and a pen and paper to note your measurements.

Then, head outside to the space you were planning to make more beautiful, or in our words, beuta-fy!

The first steps require some simple observations…

Look at your landscape and see if you have a more straight or curved design. For straight designs, you can simply measure your landscaping by taking a string from one end of an area and bringing it to the place where you want it to end.

This is helpful because then the measurements are tight and concise. Then you can use your measuring tape to find your total length.

For more curved designs, I still recommend taking a string or a rope and laying it down on the ground to get the exact shape you need. Think of it as prepping an art piece, before it’s time to commit to it!

Step 2: Account for function blocks.

Something you want to take into account is the extra pieces and how that will affect the sum of your lengths.

You want to account for function blocks such as starts, ends and turns. If you don’t know what these are, you can check out this video here to see the purposes of function blocks.

So, make sure you first identify the starting point and ending point, and if there are any 90-degree turns. Then when you’re done, measure the length of your rope.

Step 3: Determine Total Lengths.

This is where you have to put your thinking cap on and do a little math! You will need to calculate the total number of 4-foot sections and any function blocks needed.

Here is another video to see how it works with a real project.

Step 4: Finally, the fun part!

Once your measurements are made, you can go to our site at www.Beuta.com and select the color for your blocks. We offer an array of colors such as Charcoal, Sandstone, Greystone, Cobblestone, and Limewash.

These colors are naturalistic and give the blocks a faux stone edging appeal, making them look like real stones! You will also want to select your size which is offered in three different options such as brick, block, and block XL.

And last, but not least, select the total number of sections and function blocks needed.

Once you’ve finished all the fun steps, you will simply place your order and you’re done!
