Landscape Makeover Featuring A Modern Florida Home

The statement, less is more, speaks volumes with this gorgeous and modern home situated in Sarasota Florida. Known for its powder-white beaches, and warm year-round climate, Florida’s climate allows for tropical plants to thrive year-round. 

Ones such as royal palms, coral bean, and fire bush. Under the warm sun, the plants can boast of their beauty without needing much upkeep. 

This home found the perfect balance of feng shui and chic, as they chose to line their white home with some Beuta bricks, which are easy edging for landscaping.

With their white home, they had white gravel and green plants, so choosing something that wouldn’t be “too loud”, but rather, more cohesive was essential to creating balance and beauty. 

They chose a white color brick, which we refer to as limewash. 

This limewash has a unique ability to be naturalistic in appearance, but also shiny and smooth. The natural bumps mimic the textures found in traditional masonry but this time, without the heavy weight.

Thanks to our innovative roto-molding process, these bricks are made with precision and allow for it to be lightweight. It is beneficial when carrying, allowing you to carry several sections of blocks at a time to the designated area.

Choosing the Design

The black accents in the home balanced out all the white decor bringing that chicness to life and putting on display your diverse plants. 

What makes edging so spectacular in warmer climate zones, is that you don't need a lot of plants to make the landscaping look beautiful. 

Different types of palms have a lot of personality, and having the right display case like the white gravel and the Beuta faux-stone edging, makes it feel like they’re on stage. 

As the installation was in process, the parents expressed how they wanted to invest in landscaping that would reinforce a safe space for their children to run and play. 

Having lightweight and softer cement bricks for easy edging on your property makes it less likely for children to injure themselves while playing. They were happy to know their home looked good, and their kids were safe. 

That’s why we want to express to you how important it is to not just pick out a color of Beuta blocks based on what you like but also take into account the overall aesthetic of the house. 

If the family chose other shades, they might not have worked as well because of the white contrast of the house, which could easily be distracting or appear tacky instead of effortless.

Should I choose a brick or block? 

This family chose the bricks, but that doesn't mean you have to. We offer bricks that look just like traditional cement bricks, only ours are lightweight, easy to install, and require no digging. 

The same is true for the blocks, the only difference is the height. Blocks have a higher profile look, great for a mulched garden bed or to bring some continuity to higher raised plants.
