DIY Planter Crafts For Kids and Parents
DIY Planter Crafts For Kids and Parents
Sensory play has been proven to calm a child’s brain, improve cognitive skills, and increase gross and fine motor skills. Oftentimes, you can find yourself with toys that entertain your children momentarily without considering how this could affect their brain development.
Instead, let’s give them the gift of sensory play with this easy, completely adaptive experience that will have them fully immersed in the process and excited to see the results.
But let’s not stop there.
This is a great experience for everyone, whether you’re planning a get-together with friends and need an activity that is engaging or cathartic. Or, if you need to relax alone and want an easy DIY plant project to make you feel calm.
This project is for you. Check out these beautiful planters!
Description
A unique stone-like planter that is made from roto-molding engineering. These faux stone blocks also have 25-30 percent of recycled material! These polyresin materials create a durable block that is lightweight, flexible, and durable.
What you’ll need
- A Beuta block of your choice, in any color. We offer a variety of colors such as Sandstone, Cobblestone, Charcoal, and Limewash.
- A bag of potting mix dirt, and the size depends on how many people will participate in this experience.
- Succulents since these will survive harsher climates, as long as they have occasional watering and sun exposure. You can choose a different plant if you prefer!
- Decor pieces- Now this is where you can be creative, and work with the theme of your gift. Michaels or Hobby Lobby are great stores to get those small decorative pieces. You can also use what’s around like dried flowers, lavender, or pebbles!
As seen in the photos and video, Host Anna from Beuta uses succulents, dirt, and gardening tools like gloves and a small garden shovel. You can find these at your local plant nursery!
Why the Block?
It acts as a planter, with a hole at the bottom for easy drainage. It can be camouflaged with your other blocks, for easy landscape edging, or simply placed as a showstopper, on your dining room table with its naturalistic textures.
Purposes
Host Anna also used these for a fun Christmas experience! Here is the full video of how she assembled these Christmas and holiday-themed planters here.
As you can see, these can serve as a multi-purpose gift. A great gifting option, not just for Christmas but for a neighbor, or your child’s teacher. A finishing touch in your garden bed, or a beautiful centerpiece. A going away gift to remind your college student to give you a call, or a lovely window plant.
Green thumb or not, this will last, be simple to create, and be an inexpensive alternative to other forms of entertainment.
What else do we offer
If you find that you enjoyed these, or are curious about these blocks that look like real stones, you will be happy to know that we offer these for other, more useful purposes.
Our main purpose is to create easy landscape edging with our blocks for garden edging. These are great alternatives to traditional masonry that requires heavy lifting, and sometimes a professional to install. Traditional masonry can quickly become expensive, depending on the length of the project. However, Beuta blocks give you a better alternative that gives your back a break when lifting, requires little to no extra help, and is inexpensive!
These can assist you in encircling your trees in your front yard, line your driveways, make a defined pathway or walkway, surround your garden beds, and more!
Who we are
In case you were wondering, we are Beuta, an Amish-owned landscape company that helps you enhance your landscaping with our faux edging stones. We delight in solving landscaping problems and making our community feel empowered to tackle their DIY projects.
